Airport Rip Off

Manchester Airport has like most other airports found it necessary to introduce security measures to combat terrorist threats. However, when asked at security check if you are carrying any liquids in your hand luggage you are required to place them in a "clear" plastic bag for scanning. Of course nobody has one of these but they are available in a machine for the princely sum of £1.00 so be prepared because this is a clear rip off. On returning to the UK from many countries it is best to pack any liquids etc in your suit cases as these will also be confiscated by the customs if they are in your hand luggage, this is including any you have paid for at your departing airport duty free shops in the UK.
